Br. Robert Flaherty
Joined the Xaverian Brothers in 9/1979, took vows in the 1980s. Suspended from ministry in 8/2018 during an investigation by the state’s attorney of allegations that Flaherty sexually abused a minor in the mid-1980s. Investigation initiated by Baltimore Police in 4/2018. Taught at Mount St. Joseph School 1972-1993 and 2008-2010. Taught in KY 1994-1999. Was teaching at St. John’s Prep in Danvers MA when suspended; was there 1999-2007, returning in 2010. Included on the Order’s list in 3/2021, which shows allegations of inappropriate touching and fondling in the 1970s and 1984-1985. Living in a restricted and supervised environment on a safety plan.
