Fr. Lawrence J. Finegan
Accused in a 2022 lawsuit of sexually abusing a girl, beginning when she was age 15 and involved in the youth group at St. Cecilia’s in Fairfax, and continuing for 9 years. His accuser said she first reported the abuse to the Archdiocese in 1990; Finegan was kept in ministry. She filed a police report in 2002; Finegan was not criminally charged. She again told the Archdiocese of the alleged abuse in August 2024, after which Finegan was removed from active ministry.
