Fr. Pearse P. Donovan
Accused in a 2003 civil suit of molesting a boy beginning in 1978 at St. Clement, and of later passing him on to an abusive Holy Cross brother, Lawrence O’Brien. During this same time period, Donovan was being treated for alcoholism at two treatment centers. He served as Superintendent of Schools 1963-1972. Removed from ministry/retired in 1983. Died 9/12/1986. Included on the Diocese’s list of credibly accused in 2019, which notes abuse having occurred 1978-1980.
