Br. George Donnelly
Teacher and Director of Student Activities at St. John’s Prep school for almost 20 years when accused of molesting a male student in 1993. Initially denied the charges but later admitted to two incidents with the then 17-year-old student while denying two other allegations involving the same boy. School’s headmaster said conduct “was so egregious as to force removal from his post.” DA’s office did not consider the incidents to be of a criminal nature. Allowed to serve as hospital chaplain by 2006. Omitted from 2011 Boston AD database.

Our Database of Publicly Accused does not state or imply that individuals facing allegations are guilty of a crime or liable for civil claims. The reports contained in the database are merely allegations. The U.S. legal system presumes that a person accused of or charged with a crime is innocent until proven guilty. Similarly, individuals who may be defendants in civil actions are presumed not to be liable for such claims unless a plaintiff proves otherwise. Admissions of guilt or liability are not typically a part of civil or private settlements. For more information, see our posting policy.
