Placed on leave in 12/2004. Named in a civil suit in 1/2005 after allegations that he had abused a minor in the mid-1970s while parochial vicar at St. Thomas the Apostle in West Springfield and at All Souls in Springfield. Review Board found allegations credible. Devlin denied the allegations. One claim was included in an 11/2008 $4.5M settlement with the Diocese. Canonical trial ordered – in process per Diocese’s 8/2011 list. Per the Diocese’s list updated in 6/2021, there were multiple allegations. Devlin died in 2021.
