Accused of abuse with numerous other priests in a 1/2005 lawsuit. Placed on leave in 1984 after four years at St. Anne’s in Readville. On 6/13/2011, the archdiocese announced that Daly had been voluntarily laicized and stated that “he was accused of sexually abusing minors occurring in the 1970s and early 1980s,” when he was assigned in Brockton, Plymouth (briefly), and Readville. Working as school psychologist at Silver Lake Regional High School in Kingston MA when laicization announced. Placed on leave by school after it learned of early civil suit. Was expected to retire at year’s end. The Boston archdiocese database in 8/2011 says case concluded canonically.
