Assigned to St. Benedict’s Abbey in Benet Lake, WI on IL border. Arrested in 4/2013, charged with trying to abduct a 14-year-old girl in Antioch IL, and with disorderly conduct. Police saw him stop near three other girls. He fled and they arrested him the next day. Admitted approaching several girls over previous six weeks. Arrested again 5/3/2013 after children found at Abbey. Pleaded guilty 12/5/2013 to one count of child abduction. Sentenced to six months of periodic imprisonment, plus 24 months of felony probation. Had been sent previously to St. Luke institute for treatment related to viewing internet pornography. Living in 10/2022 in MO at a facility for troubled clergy. Included 1/24/2023 on the St. Benedict’s Abbey list of credibly accused.
