Fr. Stephen H. Bzdyra
A man filed suit in 7/2010 alleging that Bzdyra abused him in the mid-1980s while assigned to St. Francis in New Haven. Per the suit, Bzdyra threatened the boy and his family and later tried to silence him by buying him home appliances and a car in 2001. Also named in a previous suit. Placed on leave 7/9/2010. Another suit was filed in 8/2010. Too ill to testify in 11/2010. A third suit was filed in 12/2010. Settlement in 2/2016. Per the Archdiocese’s list 1/22/2019, Bzdyra was laicized 5/4/2018. He died in 10/2019.
