Fr. Theodore F. Xavier Bradley
In a 1994 lawsuit a woman accused Bradley of using premarital counseling to break up her engagement and start an affair with her. She was 17 when the counseling started. The woman won a settlement. Bradley “retired” in 1995 but apparently was allowed to return to limited ministry. Placed on leave in 2002. Another woman filed suit in 5/2004 alleging that she was sexually abused at age 5 by Bradley in 1969-1970. In 4/2007 he reportedly would continue to draw a pension from the Diocese. No privileges. He died in 1/2023, at age 96.

Our Database of Publicly Accused does not state or imply that individuals facing allegations are guilty of a crime or liable for civil claims. The reports contained in the database are merely allegations. The U.S. legal system presumes that a person accused of or charged with a crime is innocent until proven guilty. Similarly, individuals who may be defendants in civil actions are presumed not to be liable for such claims unless a plaintiff proves otherwise. Admissions of guilt or liability are not typically a part of civil or private settlements. For more information, see our posting policy.
