Fr. Sydney H. Bayers
In 1994, three sisters reported to the archdiocese sexual abuse by Bayers when they were children in the 1970s and their father was terminally ill. In 1996 a man reported that Bayers sexually and physically abused him, beginning in 1960 when boy was 11, after the boy’s father died. He said Bayers “practically lived” at his home and went drinking with his mother. Bayers died in 3/1979. Included in 8/2011 on the archdiocese’s list of accused.
