Ordained: 1990
Status: Settled

Diocese: Archdiocese of Boston MA

Personnel files released in 12/2002 revealed that Wilson was accused in 1993 of molesting a boy in 1991-1992. Wilson admitted the abuse and also said that the boy was abused by another priest, Redmond Raux. The matter was settled in 1995 for $200K. Wilson was placed on sick leave in 1993 and was “voluntarily” laicized in 1998. The Boston archdiocese’s database in 8/2011 notes that the case concluded canonically.

Our Database of Publicly Accused does not state or imply that individuals facing allegations are guilty of a crime or liable for civil claims. The reports contained in the database are merely allegations. The U.S. legal system presumes that a person accused of or charged with a crime is innocent until proven guilty. Similarly, individuals who may be defendants in civil actions are presumed not to be liable for such claims unless a plaintiff proves otherwise. Admissions of guilt or liability are not typically a part of civil or private settlements. For more information, see our posting policy.
