Assigned in NE, MN, IN, MI. Removed from ministry in the Archdiocese of St. Paul-Minneapolis in 1991 for “misconduct” with adults. Accepted into the Archdiocese of Detroit by Archbishop Maida, who had been informed by the Crosiers of the allegations. After the Dallas Bishops’ conference in 2002, Vedro was removed from active ministry and sent to a Crosier facility. He left the order in 2008. Name added in 10/2014 to the St. Paul and Minneapolis list of those with substantiated claims of sexual abuse of a minor occurring outside of the archdiocese. Died 4/13/2015. Included on the Crosier Order’s list 12/6/2023, which notes that allegations received after Vedros’ death could not be investigated.
