Fr. Matthew J. Thompson
Monsignor. Name included on list of priests with credible allegations of abuse released by San Diego diocese 3/30/07. Retired in 1975. Died in 10/76. A man came forward in 2002 to allege abuse when he was an altar boy in the late 1950s-early 1960s. There was another allegation as well. Claims included in $200M settlement in 2007. At the request of the San Bernardino diocese and victims, in 2009 the City of Corona renamed the street it had named in his honor. Personnel file released 10/24/10.
