Fr. Martin Richard Senko
In 1/93 a woman came forward to archdiocesan officials, alleging abuse by Senko 1965-69, when she was a North Catholic High School student and he was a teacher, then principal. She said she spoke with a few priests about it at the time, but the abuse continued. He resigned as pastor of St. Peter’s in Portland in 3/93 and was sent for treatment. He denied touching the girl “consciously or unconsciously.” He did admit to relationships with adult women. Returned to ministry. Administrator 1994-98 of St. Andrew in Cornelius. Retired in 1998. Removed from public ministry in 5/02. Died in 12/04. Documents from file released 11/08.

Our Database of Publicly Accused does not state or imply that individuals facing allegations are guilty of a crime or liable for civil claims. The reports contained in the database are merely allegations. The U.S. legal system presumes that a person accused of or charged with a crime is innocent until proven guilty. Similarly, individuals who may be defendants in civil actions are presumed not to be liable for such claims unless a plaintiff proves otherwise. Admissions of guilt or liability are not typically a part of civil or private settlements. For more information, see our posting policy.
