Fr. Gerald P. Ruane
Accused in 2002 of abuse of a boy in the 1970s-80s. Deemed credible by archdiocese. Allowed to retire in 2004 without privileges. Name released in 2005 after he celebrated public mass. Died 8/15/15. On archdiocese’s list 2/13/19. Multiple alleged victims noted. Accused in a 7/20 lawsuit of participating with Cardinal McCarrick and other priests in a sex ring involving children.
