Fr. Edward Anthony Rodrigue
Admitted to abusing 150 children, “four or five” boys every year of his 22-year career. Sentenced to probation in 1979 for abuse of a boy. Sentenced in 1998 to 10 years’ prison for abuse of boy in 1997. Civil suits filed in 2003 by at least 19. Laicized in 1992. Released from prison in 1/2006. Name on 3/30/2007 list of San Diego/San Bernardino priests accused of abuse. Died in 2009. One suit settled 4/2010. Personnel file released 10/2010. On San Bernardino list 10/9/2018. Suit filed in 1/2020 under newly expanded SOL on behalf of five men claiming abuse as children in the 1960s and 1970s by Rodrigue.
