Fr. Redmond H. Raux
Accused in 1993 of molesting a boy in 1987. Allegations against Raux and Rev. James L. Wilson Jr. were settled in 1995 for $200K. Raux later denied the allegation. In a 1996 letter recommending Raux for a USAF chaplaincy in WY, Cardinal Law assured the military he knew of no reason why Raux would be unsuitable to work with children. Per the 8/2011 Boston archdiocese’s list of accused, the Review Board either found the allegations unsubstantiated or he was acquitted by canonical process. No restrictions on privileges. Appointed Archdiocese of Military Services, USA Dean for European Vicariate, per 8/17/2012 announcement. ‘Very Reverend.’

Our Database of Publicly Accused does not state or imply that individuals facing allegations are guilty of a crime or liable for civil claims. The reports contained in the database are merely allegations. The U.S. legal system presumes that a person accused of or charged with a crime is innocent until proven guilty. Similarly, individuals who may be defendants in civil actions are presumed not to be liable for such claims unless a plaintiff proves otherwise. Admissions of guilt or liability are not typically a part of civil or private settlements. For more information, see our posting policy.
