Fr. Peter J. Popadick
Monsignor. Pastor of St. Aloysius Gonzaga when accused by a man in his early 60s in a lawsuit 8/2019 of raping and molesting him at age 11. Placed on leave. The man also accused Revs. Frank Tuchols, Paul Nogaro and a “Fr. Mike.” Popadick was secretary for former Bishop Head for over 20 years, until 1995. The man also claim molestation by two teachers at St. Mary of Sorrows church and school. He said the abuse occurred at St. Mary’s and at Bishop Fallon High School. Popadick was returned to ministry in 1/2020. The accuser reportedly would not cooperate with the investigation and the Diocesan Review Board could not substantiate the allegations against Popadick and Nogaro. Placed again on leave in 3/2023 due to an allegation and investigation of child sexual abuse.
