Fr. Roman Pfalzer
First identified publicly as accused in Santa Fe archdiocese list on 9/12/2017. Assigned to St. Francis in Gallup in the early 1950s. Santa Fe’s updated list in 3/08/2019 shows Pfalzer as having been assigned to the Cathedral of St. Francis in Santa Fe in 1966. Also worked in Roswell and Clovis. On the Archdiocese of Indianapolis list 10/18/2018. Noted to have two victims, allegedly abused 1954-1954. On the Gallup diocese’s list of credibly accused in 8/2019. (Brother of accused priest, Juvenal Pfalzer, O.F.M.) Included 10/15/2020 in the Diocese of Wichita’s list, where he worked in 1964. On the Las Cruces diocese list 11/13/2020. On Cincinnati’s list in 2/2022. Added in 6/2022 to Peoria’s list. Included on the St. John the Baptist Province Franciscans list. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General’s Report, which notes at least one “reported survivor.” Pfalzer died 12/26/2011.
