Arrested 5/21/14 and charged with possession of six images of a sexual performance by a child. Diocese had reported allegations to D.A.’s office “a few months ago.” Retired in 2012 and was living at a home for retired priests. Not in active ministry after leaving for unrelated personal reasons. Diocese denied any previous allegations against him. Pleaded guilty to all six charges in 8/14 in a plea agreement. Received 10 years’ probation and ordered to register as a sex offender. Accused in a 6/17 suit of abusing a boy decades prior, when Ours was a deacon. On diocese’s list 12/3/18. Accused in a lawsuit filed 8/2/21 of fondling a boy, age 8, in the confessional on multiple occasions, 1982-83.
