Fr. Timothy P. McCarthy
Name included on list of priests with credible allegations of abuse of minors released by Archdiocese 12/5/13. On Special Assignment 1982-84. Resigned and permanently removed from ministry in 1991. Had been removed by the Archdiocese for abuse of two minor boys early in career and a later had an abusive relationship with a college student. Archdiocese then helped him in career as a Hennepin County correctional officer; he lost the job in 1999 after being accused of criminal sexual conduct with a 17-year-old. Believed to be living in Oakdale or St. Paul MN per the 12/13 list. Personnel files released 6/14 show several incidents of abuse and treatment. McCarthy died in 2019.
