Fr. Diego Mazon
In 2/2009 it was revealed that Mazon had been removed from ministry in the Gallup diocese in 2004 due to an allegation that he had sexually and psychologically abused a girl 1974-1978 while at St. John’s in Roswell. Civil suit filed in 2005 against Mazon and the Santa Fe archdiocese. It was settled and dismissed in 2/2006. Living as of 2011 at order’s Juan Diego Friary in Albuquerque, possibly with former Archbishop Sanchez. Included in an update of the Gallup diocese’s list 4/28/2017. On Santa Fe archdiocese list 9/12/2017. On Las Cruces list 11/8/2018. Died in 11/2018. On the Cincinnati archdiocese’s list in 2/2022. On the St. John the Baptist Province Franciscans List in 6/2022.
