Fr. Robert Patrick Malloy

Arrested in 1998 and later charged with sexually exploiting at least 14 boys 1992-1998. Placed on leave. Indictment covered 42 charges. Charges dismissed 2/2002. Refiled. In a plea agreement in 8/2002 Malloy pleaded no contest to five lesser counts. Sentenced in 9/2002 to 5 years (less 5 days) probation. Per a 2002 article, Malloy had been writing anonymous, sexually explicit notes to teenage boys at St. Pius High School, offering to pay them for their semen. Served as a police chaplain until 1998. Included on the Santa Fe archdiocese’s list of accused 9/12/2017. Named in a suit against the Boy Scouts in 12/2018, along with Rev. Ronald Bruckner.
