Bishop Robert Eric Guglielmone
Ordained for the Diocese of Rockville Centre. Named bishop of Charleston, SC in 2009. Accused in a lawsuit filed in 8/19 of sexually abusing an eight-year-old boy in 1978-79, while assigned to St. Martin of Tours in Amityville, NY. Guglielmone denied the allegations. Announced he would “temporarily reduce his public presence” until the matter is resolved. Guglielmone announced in 12/20 that the Vatican had cleared him of wrongdoing.
