Br. Malachy Flavin
Accused of abuse of a teenage boy in 1981. Alleged victim told the Benedictines in 1992 and said the Order knew of another victim. Per Order, Flavin left active status in 1987 after he was found drinking with another boy. When Flavin would not voluntarily leave the Order, in 2003 it asked the Vatican for laicization. Named in lawsuit(s) filed in 7/20 under the NJ Child Sexual Abuse Victims Act.
