Fr. Armando Escobedo
Accused in a 6/25/2010 civil suit of sexually abusing a boy 1978-1981, while assigned to Our Lady of St. John of Fields in Mission, TX. Much of the abuse allegedly occurred on parish property and involved Escobedo plying the boy with alcohol. Escobedo denied the allegations. Included on the Brownsville diocese’s 1/31/2019 list of credibly accused , which notes that Escobedo was removed from ministry in 2002.
