Arrested in 2/08; charged with abuse of 4 children from one family in 2007 in Nicolville (Albany diocese). Assigned to the Syracuse diocese. Privileges removed in 2008 by Syracuse for “incidents unrelated to sexual abuse.” Staying at Holy Name of Jesus Academy when arrested. At least one more possible victim. Broderick sued his accusers in 11/08. Suit dismissed in 1/10. Found guilty of one misdemeanor; acquitted on two felony charges in 2/09. Court vacated conviction in 4/09. Civil case can go forward as of 12/12 Appeals Court ruling. On diocese’s list 12/3/18. Permanently removed from ministry. On the Scranton diocese’s list 8/19/18.
