Fr. James R. Blume
Originally a member of the Bros of Holy Cross; later ordained. A man filed suit in 1991 alleging abuse 1982-85. The man first complained in 1988 or 1989; Bishop forced Blume to resign in 1989 after he completed therapy. Suit settled in 11/92. A second man filed suit in 1992 alleging abuse at a different assignment 1985-87. Also worked in Milwaukee, in the 1970s. Laicized 6/23/07. Criminal charges filed in 8/09. Convicted in WI in 1/10; sentenced to 20 years’ prison. Appeal denied in 11/12. On Ft. Wayne diocese list 9/18/18. It notes five credlble allegations.
