Fr. Gaspar Bautista
From the Diocese of Tulancingo in Huejutla, Mexico. Incardinated into the Diocese of Fresno CA in 2004. Placed on leave in 3/2016 due to allegations of inappropriate behavior with a minor when he was assigned to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Allegations not made public until 10/2018. On the Los Angeles archdiocese’s updated list 12/6/2018, which noted a report in 2016 of incidents in 1999 or 2000. Case closed by the Vatican’s CDF after it deemed the allegations not proven. Per the Los Angeles archdiocese’s list in 12/2021, the Fresno diocese expected to restore Bautista’s faculties.
