(ABC 6 News) – Just before 4pm this afternoon, the Diocese of Winona released a statement regarding former Pacelli Catholic School teacher, Mary Gilles, who was arrested on a charge of 3rd Degree Criminal.
The Diocese says, “Ms. Gilles was arrested on suspicion of Criminal Sexual Conduct involving a minor. The Pacelli High School Administration has been cooperating with law enforcement during this investigation…” “…and will continue to provide any assistance needed by law enforcement…”
Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger says officers went to Pacelli Catholic School on Monday for what he describes as an “incident”.
By mid-afternoon, officers arrested Gilles at her home. School officials tell us she was terminated yesterday.
