Central City priest Joseph Maurizio Jr. was arrested today on allegations of child sexual exploitation.
Maurizio is charged with engaging in illicit sexual conduct in a foreign place and possession of child pornography.
Maurizio, a former paster of Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish, was placed on leave of duties Sept. 16, according to a press release from the Most Rev. Mark Bartchak, bishop of the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown.
