Maine pastor charged with possessing child porn

(NECN) – A pastor who works with homeless people in downtown Biddeford, Maine has been charged by State Police with possessing child pornography.

Pastor James Napier, 60, was arrested at his home Saturday in Alfred, Maine by members of the State Police Computer Crimes Unit.

He was charged with possession of sexually explicit material. The charge is a felony because the children in the images appear to be under the age of 12.

Napier is the pastor associated with New Beginnings Christian Mission, which ministers to the poor and homeless in Biddeford.
