Alfred – A pastor who works in Biddeford has been charged by State Police with possessing child pornography.
Police arrested Pastor James Napier, 60, at his home in Alfred on Saturday.
He is the pastor associated with New Beginnings Christian Mission, which, according to police, ministers to the poor and homeless in downtown Biddeford.
Police say they found more than 100 images of child porn on Napier’s computer. Police say the children depicted in the pornography appear to be under the age of 12. ” There is no indication that any of the images found on his computer were from Maine,” said Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman, Steve McCausland, via a press release.
