FORT WORTH — In another twist involving drug and sexual assault charges against Bishop Terry Hornbuckle, bail for the Arlington church leader was revoked Friday morning after Hornbuckle violated conditions of his release, court officials said.
It was the sixth time Hornbuckle has been arrested since last March.
Hornbuckle, the founder and leader of Agape Christian Fellowship, posted a $3.62 million bail bond Thursday morning, officials said. He was released from Tarrant County Jail early Friday morning, but was back in jail before noon.
Authorities said a probation officer escorted Hornbuckle to the county’s probation department to place an electronic monitoring device on him – a condition of his release. Officers ordered Hornbuckle to “stay put” while they completed some paperwork, but he left the building, said Charlotte Crow, an associate clerk for state District Judge Scott Wisch, who is scheduled to preside over Hornbuckle’s trial. The case is on the 372nd court’s docket for Monday, she said.
“He left without permission before his debriefing and before his electronic leash was installed,” Crow said. “So the judge decided to revoke his bond.”
