	Obituaries Press Enterprise (Riverside, CA) May 27, 1998 Riverside -Rev. Clifton Etienne A memorial Mass will be celebrated for the Rev. Clifton Raymond Etienne, 61, at 7:30 p.m. today at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in San Bernardino. He died Friday of pneumonia at St. Vincent Hospital in Los Angeles. Friends may call at the church from 6 until 9 p.m. today. Burial will be in St. Augustine's Seminary Bay in St. Louis. The Rev. Etienne, who was born in St. Martinville, La., lived in Riverside for 30 years. He was ordained as a Divine Word Missionaries priest in 1979. He served at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Oakland for a year, then was assigned for several years to St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Before he was ordained, he was a deacon in the 1970sat St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in Riverside, where he started choirs. He also was director of a summer youth camp at Divine Word Seminary in Riverside for several years. He enjoyed listening to music. The Rev. Etienne is survived by several brothers and sisters, all in St. Martinville. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Divine Word Seminary.
