	Police Reports Show Cleric Molested 24 Kids San Jose Mercury News April 25, 1994 Police reports show a Roman Catholic cleric who pleaded guilty to a single charge actually molested 24 youngsters, some as young as 8, the San Francisco Examiner said Sunday. The man, Salvatore Dominic Billante, a former Salesian brother, has been paroled to the Bay Area after serving half of an eight-year sentence. The newspaper said it and KGO-Radio had conducted a three-month investigation into what has become known as the Brother Sal case. The report cited "court documents, police reports and private correspondence" dealing with the molestations that took place during the 1970s and '80s.
