Second Set United Press International October 27, 1988 A second set of Anne Arundel County parents has filed suit alleging their son was sexually molested by a priest whose behavior was concealed by Catholic church officials. Lawyers for the Archdiocese of Baltimore have not yet responded to the more recent allegations involving the Rev. William Simms. But the priest's own lawyer filed papers in Baltimore Circuit Court contending both lawsuits are barred by statutes of limitations. The second suit relates to events in 1984 and 1985. An earlier suit refers to 1982. Both youths were 13-year-old altar boys at St. Andrew by the Bay Parish in Cape Saint Claire when the alleged incidents began. In both suits, Simms is accused of engaging in sexual fantasies with the boys. |
