	SNAP Pushing to Keep Convicted Pedophile Priest out of Town ABC 7 [Chicago IL] October 9, 2006 http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=local&id=4643599 October 9, 2006 - The Survivors Network of Those Abused By Priests, known as SNAP, is asking Cardinal George to keep a convicted pedophile priest out of the Chicago archdiocese. Father Donald McGuire was convicted earlier this year of indecent behavior with a child when he taught at Wilmette's Loyola Academy from 1966 to 1970. He is now in a Wisconsin jail for violating his probation. SNAP representatives went to the archdiocese to deliver a letter asking the cardinal to bar McGuire from living or working in Chicago. They were joined by a man who says he is one of McGuire's victims. "I've come to beseech Cardinal George to use his power and authority to prevent McGuire from coming here or allowing him the opportunity to continue abuse in the Chicago archdiocese," said Victor Bender, who says he was abused by Fr. McGuire. Late Monday, the archdiocese said it couldn't comment because it was closed and hadn't received the letter.
