Polygamist leader Warren Steed Jeffs has reportedly agreed to waive extradition on sexual abuse charges, a prosecutor said on Thursday, according to reports.

Jeffs, a bespeckled balding man in the FBI Top 10 Most Wanted list, was arrested earlier in the week without incident in a routine traffic stop outside of Las Vegas, according to wire reports.

The car in which Jeffs, 50, was discovered was stopped by state trooper because he suspected Jeffs was inside. There were reportedly 2 other people in the vehicle, a rather gaudy red Escalade. They have reportedly been identified as one of his wives, Naomi Jeffs, and one of his brothers, says a FOX news report.

The FBI has been looking for the fugitive leader, who thinks of himself as a prophet, of the Mormon polygamous sect known as the Fundamentalist LDS Church, for months. Jeffs stands accused of sexual conduct with a minor and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, among other charges.

Back in June, tPC reported that Jeffs was seen in Arizona, and that Utah and Arizona state officials were working together.

The Utah Attorney General's Office also said it has heard Jeffs continue to exercise his religious authority, most recently in the polygamous border towns of Hildale, Utah, and Colorado City, Ariz.

Jeffs faces charges in both states of forcing teenage girls into polygamous marriages with older men.

A $100,000 reward was being offered for information leading to his arrest.
