	Former Deacon on Sex Offence Charges By Sean Fewster The Advertiser [Australia] August 18, 2006 http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/story/0,22606,20170067-5006301,00.html A Former deacon affiliated with the Anglican Church appeared in court today charged with sex offences. The 82-year-old, who cannot be identified, has yet to plead to seven counts of indecent assault allegedly committed between January 1980 and May 1983. Police will allege the charges relate to the abuse of a male street kid - claims that arose during an inquiry into sexual abuse within the Anglican Church. Magistrate Greg Clark remanded the man on continuing bail to appear in court again in October.
