	Expose Bogus Pastors - PM Urges Church By Timothy Simelane The Swazi Observer August 14, 2006 http://www.observer.org.sz/main.asp?id=25452&Section=main Prime Minister Themba Dlamini has called upon the church to expose bogus pastors who hide behind the cloak of the pulpit when, in fact, they are sex pests and a greedy lot. Dlamini was speaking at Edladleni area, outside Mankayane, during a thanksgiving ceremony held in honour of Reverend Kaizer Fakudze and his wife, Elizabeth. He said Fakudze had been a role model in that in the many years of ministry, he embraced a positive character. May I appeal to the church to do an introspection and condemn those who are hiding behind the pulpit, pretending to be pastors yet they are not. I am referring to the current cases of abuse which have recently dominated our media headlines in the country. His Majesty's government is concerned about such behaviour because it is against God, erodes and betrays the very peace and trust that the church should promote in the country, he stated. The Premier said Christians should heed warnings of apostle Paul that sin should not be found among Christians. He said one of such was sexual abuse of women and children which he described as worst forms of immorality. There is no true man of God who can abuse a young girl or, for that matter, kill his wife. We look upon church leaders and Christians to protect vulnerable and voiceless members of our society because they are also images of God. Turning to the nation, Dlamini warned against excessive punishment which he said amounted to child abuse. Let us punish our children accordingly because those who do so severely will be brought before lawful authorities. I appeal for tolerance, compassion and love for our needy children. He appealed to leaders and the community at large to report cases of child abuse to police or any organisation dealing withsuch. Dlamini said the church played a major role towards instilling correct behaviour and morality by imparting the word of God. The church says we should always be sympathetic towards the poor in our communities. Today we are faced with many orphaned and vulnerable children. I appeal to the church to play a vital role towards reaching out to those who need assistance, he said.
