	Church under Probe after Heinous Crime Jamaica Newsweekly July 6, 2006 http://www.jamaicans.com/news/weeknews/jamaica-newsweekly-for-th-132.shtml A senior member of a church run by retired Appeal Court judge Martin Wright evidently stood by and did nothing while schoolboys in a van he was driving gang-raped a teenage girl and recorded the act. Justice Wright professed to know of the incident but said the deacon had not participated in the act. The church is reported to have taken disciplinary action against the deacon but it is not known what form it took. The girl has not been found by the minister yet, who hoped to offer counseling to her. Police have pledged to pursue the case vigorously. While the church congregation was aware of the incident, no one initially reported it to police.
