	Marquette Priest Removed WLUC [Marquette MI] May 30, 2006 http://www.wluctv6.com/Global/story.asp?S=4967606&nav=81AX A priest at St. Peter Cathedral in Marquette has been removed from his position and is being sent back to India. According to the Diocese of Marquette, Father Roy Joseph, the associate pastor at the cathedral and the Mission of Saint Mary in Big Bay, was relieved of his duties after a formal complaint was filed against him. In a letter to parishioners at the cathedral and mission, Bishop Alex Sample said there was an incident of sexual exploitation with an adult female. Bishop Sample deemed the information to be credible. A diocesan official says no criminal charges have been brought against Father Joseph. Diocesan policy prohibits unwanted sexual conduct by a church leader against an adult person who has had pastoral care from that church leader.
