	Priest Is Charged By Jason Vallee The Herald May 10, 2006 http://www.newbritainherald.com/site/news.cfm?newsid= 16612933&BRD=1641&PAG=461&dept_id=10110&rfi=6 NEW BRITAIN - Police arrested a New Britain priest Tuesday after an investigation revealed that he may have had sexual contact with a 12-year-old female last May. Krikoris Keshishian, 53, of 21 Garry Drive, was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to or impairing the morals of a child by sexual contact. According to the Police Department, Keshishian, who serves as priest of St. Stephen's Armenian Church on Tremont Street in New Britain, had been investigated by the Youth Division of the Detective Bureau for an alleged incident that took place in May 2005. Police said the alleged contact, which occurred while Keshishian was serving in his official capacity as priest of the church, included groping or touching but did not involve any intercourse. The female victim was believed to be a New Britain resident, but police could not confirm that fact Tuesday. Police did confirm that the incident took place in New Britain, however. Keshishian was arrested on a sealed warrant and was released Tuesday on a $5,000 nonsurety bond. He has been scheduled for arraignment on May 23.
