	Morris County Priest Beat Wife in Rectory Asbury Park Press [New Jersey] February 10, 2006 http://www.app.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060210/NEWS03/602100327/1007 The former pastor of St. Virgil's Roman Catholic Church in Morris Plains admitted to a judge Thursday that he beat his wife twice in 2004 at the rectory. William L. Winston, 52, also said that he cannot refute a boy's sexual abuse allegation because his memory has been blurred by alcoholism. The cleric pleaded guilty in Superior Court, Morristown, to aggravated assault on his wife and to abuse and neglect of the boy, who now is 11. Prosecutors have recommended his sentence include up to 180 days in jail and mental health treatment. Gannett New Jersey
