	Man Sues Former Miami Diocese, Boystown, for Alleged Rape Associated Press, carried in Miami Herald [Miami FL] January 21, 2004 MIAMI - The Archdiocese of Miami is being sued by a 48-year-old man who alleges a priest raped him several times more than 30 years ago. The unidentified man says Rev. Neil Flemming, 71, repeatedly molested him at Boystown starting in 1969. Flemming was removed from public duty in the Diocese of Venice this month because of allegations of sexual abuse. The Miami diocese had not received the lawsuit, spokeswoman Mary Ross Agosta said. "Once we do, we will follow our policy which is to offer counseling to the alleged victim and report it to the authorities and to cooperate fully with them," she said. The suit filed in Miami Circuit Court Tuesday also names Boystown of Florida as a defendant. Flemming, who worked as the Diocese of Venice treasurer before his investigation there, could not be reached for comment. The Venice diocese would not release details about the alleged incident that led to the priest's withdrawal from public activities there, but said Flemming denied the accusations.
