James E. Prindeville died as peacefully as he lived on October 4, 2004 - the feast of St. Francis of Assisi.

Jim was born November 2, 1919 to Annie and John Prindeville in Oakland, CA. As a young man, he was ordained from St. Patrick's Church in Oakland, California, and spent many years in priestly ministry. He met and married his wife Marie. Nonetheless, Jim's ministry continued, particularly in assisting former priests and religious in resume preparation and job networking.

Jim is survived by his treasured wife, Marie. He was the father of Mark and Steven Efthimos, Dianna and Dave Harrison and foster son of Father Ritche. Father of Sophia, Abigail and Alex. Son-in-law of Anna Terra. Best friend for 71 years to Fr. Patrick McCarthy. Brother of Mary Jones and the late Tom, Fr. John, Frances and Sister Patricia Lynch. A Memorial Mass was scheduled for Friday, October 15, 2004 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Community, 5111 San Felipe Rd, San Jose, CA 95135.
