Comprehensive Selection of MacRae Documents

The New Hampshire attorney general has released 1,861 pages of archdiocesan and investigative documents relating to Gordon MacRae. We have posted those documents in 39 batches of about 50 pages each, with a Bates number index (see our Manchester archive), but it is difficult to find documents in those batches. Below we provide a comprehensive selection from those voluminous files, with links to individual easy-to-download documents. We are adding more documents to this list, and we welcome suggestions. 1977

Second report by the Strafford Guidance Centre in New Hampshire, in which it is stated that MacRae "appears to fit the description of a fixated sexual offender, a man who has a primary sexual interest in children." For treatment, the report recommends "an inpatient setting, initially in a program specifically tailored to sexual offenders," and that "Mr. MacRae not be deferred to as special in treatment because he is a priest." February 1989

In answers to interrogatories, Rev. Peter Lechner, then director of the Paraclete's treatment center in Jemez Springs NM, described MacRae's treatment and the Paraclete's program [B3347], disagreed with the House of Affirmation and Strafford assessments of MacRae [B3348-49], and presented his own evaluation of MacRae [B3351-52].
