Rev. Michael G. Krejci Summary of Case: Krejci "inappropriately touched" two teen-agers in 1979, admitting he had done so to the teens' parents within weeks of the incidents, and apologizing. He informed the Milwaukee archdiocese's Vicar for Clergy of the incidents in 1986 and again in 1994. Krejci sought treatment in 1991, and went to inpatient and out-patient treatment in 1994. In June 2002 Krejci told his parishioners of the 1979 incidents, and he was removed from ministry soon thereafter, when the U.S. bishops established a zero-tolerance policy toward clergy sexual abuse of minors. As of January 2011 he remained fully restricted from ministry. He was laicized some time prior to March 2013. Ordained: 1978 |
