Seminarian Leonard Riforgiato
Seminarian. Named publicly as accused on the Jesuits Northeast Province list 1/15/2019. It notes a report in 1969 of abuse of minors 1964-1966, and that he admitted to the abuse. Riforgiato left the Jesuits in 1972. Taught for 27 years at Penn State’s Shenango Valley campus and reportedly “focused on youth activities.” Died in 1999. Two lawsuits filed in 8/2019 alleged sexual assault of a child and rape of another. One was filed on behalf of a victim who died by suicide at age 32.
